Henley Royal Regatta is one of the most prestigious and historic sporting and social occasions in the summer calendar

and where better to engage with the spirit of the event than alongside the athletes of the most successful rowing club in the world? We start the year with 205 regatta wins under our belt so come and join us as we celebrate this most famous course!

The imposing Clubhouse is perfectly located for the Regatta, sitting on the banks of the river Thames next to the boat tents where the drama starts and finishes. Leander is a great place to entertain clients - all just a short walk to the Regatta enclosures and car parks. Plus, it’s got all the prestige and memorabilia to make lasting memories

As part of the ‘must do’ summer season of sporting events, each year, Regatta draws over 300,000 spectators to watch National and International men and women rowing athletes compete on the river Thames This glamour and prestige makes Henley Royal Regatta the perfect venue for corporate entertainment. It’s an opportunity for clients to dress up, let their hair down and simply enjoy the action from the racing enclosures or stroll down the riverbank to take in the full course

LEANDER CORPORATE HOSPITALITY

Considered the spiritual home of rowing, Leander Club offers the perfect venue for corporate entertainment during Henley Regatta. Situated within walking distance from the car parks and Stewards’ Enclosure, Leander Club offers an air conditioned haven to meet, dine and watch the activities

Although Leander is a private Members’ club, corporate guests are invited to join in the celebrations and share this exclusive venue for the day

PLAN YOUR REGATTA DAY

Planning Your Leander HRR Day

TRAVEL
Car - If travelling by car, you should aim to arrive early as traffic in Henley-on-Thames can be very heavy later in the morning

Train - If travelling by train, Henley station is just 10 minutes walk from Leander Club

ARRIVAL
Upon arrival at the Club, you will be shown to your table or private area for the day, where coffee and pastries will be served

Gentlemen will be given a pink carnation button hole and there will be an official race programme on your table, which will detail all of the races for the day. This is where hosts normally arrange to meet their guests

RACING
Racing starts at 9 am on weekdays and if you arrive early, and your host has not made other arrangements, you may like to walk down the river to watch the racing. Your host will have your racing enclosure entry tickets but you can watch proceedings from the tow path, which runs down to the start

LUNCH
Return to Leander Club for pre-lunch drinks and luncheon

AFTERNOON
In the afternoon, you may wish to return to watch more racing before returning to Leander Club for a traditional afternoon tea at 4 pm

CONCLUSION
6pm Conclusion of formal proceedings, but guests are welcome to browse in the Pink Hippo Shop, or to visit the Riverview and Club bars before making their way home

The bars will remain open until 11 pm weekdays, midnight on Saturday and 10.30 pm on Sunday

LEANDER DRESS CODE

The dress code for the day is traditional and very strict; no exceptions can be made

Gentlemen are required to wear lounge suits, jackets or blazers with a tie or cravat. Jackets must remain worn at all times unless there has been an announcement to relax the rule due to extreme temperatures. An exception is made for gentlemen who may remove their jackets whilst dining in the Marquee

Ladies are required to wear dresses. Anyone wearing short or very revealing dresses, shorts, culottes, trousers or divided skirts will be refused entry Hats are optional but encouraged

Any ladies also planning to enter the Stewards’ Enclosure should ensure their dress length covers their knees
